Zoe Attwell

Zoe Attwell is a Surface Pattern Designer based in London. After gaining a BA (Honours) in Graphic & Media Design, and working for many years in editorial design for newspapers in London and New York, Zoe decided to pursue her long-standing love of colour and pattern.

Zoe is particularly drawn to Mid-Century and Scandinavian design, and to the colourful and abstract.

Zoe likes playing with simple shapes and textures to create her designs. Her design style is mostly hand-drawn, abstract and stylised. Zoe’s patterns are happy and playful and are
designed to bring fun and colour to the everyday.

Several of Zoe’s designs will be published in the forthcoming book ‘PATTERNBASE: A Book of Contemporary Textile & Surface Pattern Design’ in 2013. Zoe also designs for her own range of homewares and greeting cards.
